Shirodhara (Mind Massage)

Shirodhara is a revered Ayurvedic therapy known for its calming and rejuvenating effects. The name “Shirodhara” comes from two Sanskrit words: “Shiro” (meaning head) and “Dhara” (meaning flow). This treatment involves the gentle, continuous pouring of warm, medicated oil or herbal liquid over the forehead, specifically on the “ajna” or third eye area.

Shirodhara is considered a therapeutic and rejuvenating Ayurvedic treatment for stabilizing the state of mind and body, bringing them into harmony.  Shirodhara works on a physical, mental and emotional level.

A warm soothing and continuous flow of medicated oil is poured over the 3^rd eye area for 30 minutes giving one the feeling of being in a deep state of relaxation, a meditative state of complete peace.

After the flow of oil, a head massage is given and specific marma points are worked to help further balance the senses.
